Dr Enise Lauterbach becomes tuomis new Medical Director

Dr Enise Lauterbach, a well-known German doctor and award-winning founder, joins the IT specialist tuomi. As Medical Director, she will take on an advisory role and support tuomi in developing further highly specialised medical software for medical staff and patients.

Decades of experience and specialisation

tuomi develops software as a medical device of the highest class III according to the EU Medical Devices Regulation (MDR). Founded in 1995, the company has been active in this field since 2016. tuomi has a long history of working in the areas of network technology, mobile and cloud-based applications. Since the beginning of 2021, the quality management has been certified according to ISO 13485:2016.
Dr Enise Lauterbach studied human medicine in Mainz (Germany) and is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. She specialised in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. In July 2019, she left the Centre for Outpatient Rehabilitation in Trier as the then head physician of the cardiology department. In 2019, her app "Consil!um" was awarded the first female founder prize by the Trier Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In 2020, she and her husband founded the company LEOMA medical GmbH & Co. KG. In the same year, Focus magazine named her one of the most important 100 women in Germany. In 2021, German newspaper "Handelsblatt" named her as one of 100 women with the greatest influence on Germany's future.
